
The new Fujifilm FinePix A900 offers excellent performance with the convenience of a user-friendly format and an extensive range of features that are usually reserved for more advanced models.

Matt Dole, said the FinePix A900 is a 9-megapixel camera incorporating a 4x optical zoom, 7.6x digital zoom, ISO 800 sensitivity at full resolution, 17 pre-programmed scene modes and Fujifilm’s Super CCD sensor technology.
“Fujifilm’s innovative Super CCD sensor allows the capture of highlights and shadow detail in every photo and with its ISO 800 sensitivity delivers exceptional image quality, accurate details, smooth and attractive skin tones, and true to life colours,” Mr Dole said.
“With Fujifilm’s new Graphic User Interface (GUI) design, a brief explanation of each setting is momentarily displayed on the LCD screen to take the guesswork out of operating the camera. A mode dial also provides easy access to the most commonly used shooting modes.
"The FinePix A900 incorporates a Picture Stabilisation mode which helps to achieve blur-free photos by automatically selecting the correct light sensitivity and best shutter speed appropriate to produce the highest quality photos.
“There are 17 pre-programmed Scene Modes on the FinePix A900 including Baby, Portrait, Landscape, Sport, Night, Natural Light, Beach, Snow, Fireworks, Sunset, Underwater, Flower, Party, Museum, Text, Manual and Movie.
“Fujifilm’s IrSimple™ Technology enables fast wireless image transfer to other IrSimple™ devices such as compatible digital cameras, PDAs and Photo Kiosks.
“Other features of the FinePix A900 include five playback modes such as Slide Show and Portrait Trimming; QVGA movie capture of 30 frames per second with monaural sound; xD/SD media Compatible slot that accommodates both Fujifilm’s
xD-Picture Cards™ and SecureDigital™ media cards; 2.5-inch LCD display with anti-glare properties and 10 MB of internal memory,” Mr Dole said.
Accessories include 2 x AA-size alkaline batteries; hand strap; A/V cable; USB cable (mini B); CD-Rom with FinePix Viewer and Owner’s manual.
