Fujifilm’s new J Series range of compact digital cameras – the FinePix J10 and FinePix J50 – packs a punch with impressive style and outstanding features and is the ideal choice for consumers seeking an affordable option.
Fujifilm Senior Category Manager – Consumer & Professional Products, Matt Dole, said the compact J Series range does not compromise on erformance or design, despite being pocket-sized and affordable.
The key differences between the FinePix J10 and FinePix J50 are the optical and digital zoom size, LCD screen size, ISO sensitivity and screen modes.
“Housed in a stylish and compact silver body just 19mm thin, the FinePix J10 incorporates a Fujinon 3x optical zoom, 5.1x digital zoom and 8.2 megapixel CCD for capturing bright, crisp, detailed images,” Mr Dole said.
“The FinePix J50 features a powerful 5x optical zoom, 6.9x digital zoom, 8.2 megapixel CCD and is also remarkably svelte at just 23mm thin.
“The FinePix J10 features high sensitivity up to ISO1600 at full resolution, yielding exceptional performance with less noise. While high sensitivity of up to ISO800 at full resolution is available on the FinePix J50, also producing superb results.
“Both models also feature Fujifilm’s Picture Stabilisation Mode which helps reduce blurry images caused by camera shake or subject movement, especially in low light conditions.
“In fact, each camera will automatically select the correct light sensitivity and best shutter speed to help freeze the action in order to produce high quality digital images without the blur and noise often associated with low noise photographs.”
Mr Dole said the J Series range incorporates pre-programmed scene modes that help ensure the capture of excellent photos in a wide range of shooting conditions - the FinePix J10 includes 14 scene modes, while 15 scene modes are available on the FinePix J50.
“The LCD screen size varies slightly on the J Series camera range. The FinePix J10 has a 2.5-inch LCD with 153,000 pixels, while the FinePix J50 has a larger 2.7-inch LCD screen with 230,000 pixel resolution,” he said.
“The FinePix J10 and FinePix J50 both have the ability to capture QVGA quality movie clips at 30 frames per second with sound – very handy if your video camera is not available.“Both models also accommodate Fujifilm’s traditional xD-Picture Cards along with Secure Digital and SD-High Capacity cards in their xD/SD/SD-HC compatible media slot.”
Mr Dole said the FinePix J10 and FinePix J50 are very impressive digital cameras that offer compact portability combined with high quality results and impressive features – the ideal choice for consumers seeking an affordable option.
