Over the years you have probably amassed hundreds, if not thousands of photos, right? You may even have 2,000 sitting right there on your phone, all unique memories, just waiting to be brought to life!
Yes, you can print your photos, but here are 10 ways you can really show off all those happy memories.
1. Get framing
If you have an absolute favourite photo of all time, maybe from last year’s Splendour In The Grass with the girls, get a frame which makes the photo pop and display it pride of place in your home.
2. Channel your inner Interior Designer
Shabby chic, coastal, art deco, bohemian, industrial, New York loft or Scandinavian? Whatever your interior style, make your photos part of the feature.
3. Gift them
Grandma and Grandpa love seeing photos of the little ones. Whether it’s the latest school photo or your own shots from that Autumnal day in the park, mini-canvases make the perfect gift!
4. Use photos as talking points
Keep a bunch of your photos by the front door or next to the sofa for when visitors come round to create talking points. Who wouldn’t want to see pictures of Bruno as a puppy?!
5. Create your own story book
Move over J.K. Rowling because here comes the best story of them all – your story! Hop onto your computer, gather together all your favourite photos of your family’s journey so far, or your year spent travelling the world and create a photo book journaling your pictorial biography.
6. Get creative by scrapbooking
Have hundreds of physical prints and want to get creative instead? Nip down to your local arts and crafts store and grab yourself some stickers, washi tape and coloured pens and start scrapbooking all your memories. The best thing about scrapbooking? You don’t have to finish it all at once. How about setting yourself a creative project, such as adding a memory every week for a year?
7. Turn them into a calendar
We know we’re early with this one, but stay with us! Everyone needs a calendar, right? But rather than getting the 2021 version of 2020’s Cats on Instagram calendar, make your own. If you plan far enough ahead, you can start taking themed photos now to create hilarious photos for each month of 2021. And if you nail the photos, order a bunch of calendars – they’ll make perfect Christmas presents for everyone!
8. Post them
Haven’t been able to see the kids’ favourite Auntie for a while? Print photos of her with the children, get them to write her a letter and pop it them in the post. She’ll be over the moon to receive actual mail (that isn’t just a bill!) and she’ll be smiling from ear to ear when she sees their adorable faces.
9. Create pieces of art
If you have an artistic streak (and even if you don’t because sometimes it’s all about the taking part that counts), you can think outside the box and create pieces of art. These can be on a grand scale, using multiple photos to create a giant portrait, or a smaller scale by combining photos and words to make mini masterpieces.
10. Or simply, store them somewhere safe, dry and dark (if you want them to stay in their best shape!) and bring them out every so often to reminisce!
