On 1 April 2019, the DS Chemport Australia operation was successfully merged into Fujifilm Australia to become an integrated business unit servicing the Australian printing industry.

“We are very pleased to broaden our Graphic Systems product and service offering in Australia to include the full DS Chemport range of locally manufactured pressroom and coatings products. We look forward to growing our sales to the Australian printing industry through a unified and focussed sales and support team.” said CEO, Tyler Yanase.

The new structure comprising a unified business unit servicing common Graphic customers provides many benefits, with a specific focus on increasing sales to mutual and new customers through a strengthened joint sales team. Cross selling of products to customers through a unified go-to-market strategy are also expected to create sales synergies with increased market share expected to be the result.

“We are excited to bring DS Chemport into the Fujifilm Australia Graphic Systems business. The Chemistry, Coatings, Finishing products and Blanket conversion products manufactured and or supplied by DS Chemport as well as the specialised Laboratory services (R&D as well as problem-solving) on offer, are well known and respected within the printing industries in both Australia and New Zealand. By bringing both companies sales and support teams under one roof, we now have a broader customer reach to offer our unique product range stretching from Prepress and Press room equipment and consumables, Digital Presses and consumables as well as WFIJ equipment and consumables. Almost a one-stop supply chain to the printing industry." said GM, Tony van Broekhuizen.

With the DS Chemport Australia business now reporting via Sydney, rather than into Fujifilm Asia Pacific in Singapore, communication, finance and administration are now more direct for both internal staff and external clients.
