FUJIFILM Corporation has announced that it will implement a worldwide price increase for its graphic arts film and plate.
Effective immediately, the price increase is substantial and aimed at double digit, but vary depending on markets and regions.
Fujifilm has been undertaking intensive business efforts to reduce fixed costs and improve productivity, and trying to absorb the increase costs of raw materials over the few years.
However, the costs of raw materials are unusually soaring for various factors. The other costs are also increasing due to decreasing production volume of graphic arts film and analog plate. Under such circumstances, Fujifilm is no longer able to absorb these costs and it is inevitable to increase the price.
