FUJIFILM SPONSORS MUDGEE INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL FOR SIXTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Fujifilm Australia is again the major sponsor for the upcoming 2013 Bunnamagoo Mudfest – Mudgee International Short Film Festival. Mudfest, now in its 9th year, regularly attracts over 1000 people to watch of some of the best short films from Australia and around the globe.

Co-founder of Mudfest Peter Scott said, “Year on year Mudfest keeps growing and I’m delighted to say this year is no different. We have again had a record number of entries and the standard is particularly high. As ever Mudfest could not exist without the amazing support of our sponsors and we are particularly pleased that Fujifilm is again sponsoring the Best Australian Film award with a prize of $1,500 worth of Fujifilm recording media products. Not only is their support greatly appreciated but it truly demonstrates their ongoing commitment to the Australian film industry.”

This year’s Mudfest is on Saturday the 16th March, 2013 on lawns of the Bunnamagoo Estate Wines Cellar Door, a location which has proven to be very popular with the crowds of film lovers who attend the event.

Fujifilm Australia General Manager Recording Media Products Marc Van Agten said, “Fujifilm is a proud supporter of the Australian film industry and Mudfest has proven itself to be a great event. It’s very important that companies like Fujifilm support quality grass roots film festivals such as Mudfest as this is often where the talent of the future showcases their work.”

Peter Scott concluded, “Gates open at 5pm so we suggest people get out to Mudfest early to enjoy the live music, great local food, wine and beer we have for them. Again a special thank you to Marc Van Agten and the Fujifilm team for their ongoing sponsorship. We look forward to this continuing for many years to come.”

Mudfest 2013 is an all weather festival. In case of excessive wind or rain the event will be held at the Australian Rural Education Centre, Cassilis Road, Mudgee.
